Like the name says, Test First Design is a methodology in which developers first write the tests and then write code to pass those tests.  It isn’t unusual for traditional IT projects to proceed for months before the first test is conducted.  At Pillar, we prefer to test first, so that we can identify and solve problems early in the development process.  We also hold our teams accountable for measurable quality and output throughout the process.

These practices ensure that the systems we build actually improve over time.  Our clients can invest more of their IT budgets into building new functionality, instead of maintaining older, flagging solutions.
